After a long maturation in my head, I finally did it. This is my personification of dawn. It was a long time I didn't spend so much time for doing a watercolour painting. I'm so satisfied by the way it turned out, that I'll probably do a serial on this theme: sunset, midday, or rain, dew, mist, etc... I hope you'll like it as much as I do.

Well, now. That’s pretty amazing. All the clouds, and the gradients, and the plants... and her crown. I do like her crown a great deal...

I like the blending effect here, the way her head and shoulders are blue like the daytime sky, and her dress blends down from violet to pink, orange. Very fitting, but not something I’ve seen much in these sorts of images.

Hello! As many have said, the colors are great. You have your very own style with watercolor. I especially admire the texture (is that the right word?) you’ve created on the pink clouds, I can never make patterns like that turn up when I want them to, they only come up in quick sketches when I’m not really trying 2. Beautiful picture.

:-) Anne Wipf replies: "Thank you for your kind comment. For the "texture" of the pink clouds, I added some salt grains before the watercolours were dry. But it doesn’t always be successful, watercolours are very capricious, it think it depends mostly of the paper. 1"

Lovely, as usual. Could well be a representation of Eos, goddess of dawn

:-) Anne Wipf replies: "Yes, it could. Thank you 1"

I like this one *-* it’s got a feeling in it, are you trying to say anything with it? I’d like to knoww ^_^ beautifull, fantasy ^^ colours

:-) Anne Wipf replies: "No, I didn’t want to say anything. I just love dawn and tried to capture the colours of dawn as well as I could. I thought it would be pretty to imagine the clouds as the dressing of a dawn personification. And I’m quite proud of the salt effect: I usually miss this effect 12 Thank you for your lovely comment 1"
