Anne Wipf replies: "Alas, Stefan. I must say that it is a long time I didn’t paint this kind of pictures. It take so much time to do and I have such a few free time "

As always, your use of colour is really delightful and pleasant to look at. I wonder, have you ever considered illustrating childrens books? Because I think some of your artwork, such as this one would be perfect for that . You have such a happy feeling over your pictures. Beautiful! Anne Wipf replies: "Thank you Michelle, I’m glad you like it. I already wrote and illustrated a children book: I finished it in March and posted my manuscript to some editors, but did not received yet a positive answer for publishing; half of the editors did not answer today, and I’m waiting with hope: in September, perhaps... However I think the picture could do without the eyes scattered around. They look far to cartoony to mesh with the rest of the painting. Anne Wipf replies: "Thank you for commenting. This picture is an illustration of "The Hobbit" by Tolkien, done for a commission, and I had to suggest the presence of the giant spiders in Mirkwood, it is the reason why I draw their eyes. (At this moment of the story, Bilbo and the dwarves don’t know there are giant spiders in the wood, by they feel uncounsciously their presence). "
